Matthew Jarvis
Short bio:
At present I’m an enthusiastic media art technologist, currently finishing my Masters of Science, specialising in Media Technology at Leiden University combined with Art Science at KABK in Den Haag. During 2006, Jim Prevett and I were awarded a MELT award of £50,000 to research a project using multiple technologies to produce an interactive online mobile phone game called Lost Angels, which uses live data to pitch human emotion against the world’s bad news. Before this I was an active member of the Sheffield art’s scene, specifically managing the media lab for Site Gallery. I have worked on many festivals and travel to as many others as I can.
