HDM Touchstone project is a collaboration between RMIT, QUT and the University of Queensland. The overall objective of this project is to develop a component-based consulting methodology for use both internally by ACID and with external contexts.

This methodology will be focussed on the specific characteristics of research projects and product innovations undertaken in the space of cultural, community-oriented and collaborative technologies.

The form of this final methodology is yet to be clarified, yet there is a clear understanding of the need and benefits of working within the complexities of praxis, where theory and practice merge, particularly where design and ethnography work together resulting in innovative processes and outcomes.

This research was conducted within the Australasian CRC for Interaction Design (ACID), which is established and supported under the Australian Government’s Cooperative Research Centres Programme.
