This unit is made up of 5 modules;
MODULE A: Introduction to composition: a broad and conceptual introduction to what 21st century composition is and how it became that way. This is assessed through composoition and orchestration assignments, review writing, web page maintance and collaborations.
MODULE B: Acousmatics: this looks at the way we hear and understand sound, based on the ideas of Acousmatics. This is assessed through readings and one major 'acoustic remix' project, played at a public listening lounge at the end of semester.
MODULE C: Composers Workshop: this is where compositions and installations are presented and reviewed
MODULE D: Sound Recording.
